Abstract:Objective To summarize and evaluate the available evidence regarding skin symptom management in patients with dermatomyositis, and to provide a reference for clinical healthcare professionals to improve the quality of skin symptom management and alleviate symptom severity. Methods Based on the evidence-based "6S" model, a top-to-down retrieval was performed for literature related to skin symptom management in dermatomyositis published in computer decision support systems, guideline websites and literature databases, with the retrieval period ranging from the establishment of each database to April 30, 2025.Two researchers trained in evidence-based nursing independently conducted quality evaluation, evidence extraction and evidence grading of the included literature. Results A total of 14 articles were included, comprising 5 clinical decision-supporting articles, 4 guidelines, 4 expert consensus articles, and 1 systematic review.Twenty-four pieces of evidence were summarized across 8 aspects:assessment, prevention, treatment principles, topical treatment, systemic treatment, skin care interventions, patient education and follow-up. Conclusion The summarized evidence on skin symptom management in dermatomyositis is comprehensive and systematic, though the overall level of evidence remains relatively low.Healthcare providers should adopt and implement these recommendations according to clinical context and individual patient needs.
