Abstract:Obesity stigma is a prevalent social and psychological phenomenon.Due to the dual influence of physiological changes and societal role expectations specific to the perinatal period, maternal population experiences a high incidence of obesity stigma, which severely impacts their physical and mental health.This article reviews the concept, assessment tools, and influencing factors of obesity stigma in this population.Furthermore, it proposes recommendations for mitigating this issue, aiming to inform the deve-lopment of targeted interventions and promote positive reproductive health experiences for pregnant and postpartum individuals.
