Abstract:Objective To systematically synthesize the best evidence on the prevention and management of cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED)related infections, and to provide a reference for developing clinical infection prevention and control strategies. Methods Based on the "6S" evidence-based model, Chinese and English databases, guideline repositories, professional society websites, and evidence-based literature sources were searched for studies published between 2015 and 2025 concerning the prevention and management of CIED-related infections. Results A total of 20 publications were included, comprising 12 systematic reviews, 2 randomized controlled trials, 1 guideline, 4 expert consensus reports, and 1 clinical decision document.Thirty items of best evidence were extracted, covering six major aspects:infection risk assessment, preoperative preparation, intraoperative procedures, postoperative dressing management, patient education, and follow-up care. Conclusion The summarized best evidence on the prevention and management of CIED-related infections is comprehensive and practical. It is recommended that clinical practitioners apply and refine these evidence-based strategies according to individual patient conditions to optimize infection prevention and management outcomes.
