Abstract:Objective To translate the Erlangen Team Cohesion at Work Scale into simplified Chinese, and to test its reliability and validity in emergency nurses. Methods A Chinese version of the Erlangen Team Cohesion at Work Scale was developed through translation, back translation, cultural adaptation, and pilot test, then 420 emergency nurses from 13 hospitals were surveyed to test its reliability and validity. Results The Chinese version of the Erlangen Team Cohesion at Work Scale included 12 items and two dimensions:collegial solidarity, and unity and problem management. The cumulative variance contribution rate of the two common factors was 56.614%.Confirmatory factor analysis indicated a good model fit, and its structure was consistent with the original scale. The universal agreement content validity index at scale level was 0.917, and the content validity index at item level was 0.867-1.000. The overall Cronbach′s α coefficient was 0.806, and the test-retest reliability was 0.813. Conclusion The Chinese version of Erlangen Team Cohesion at Work Scale has good reliability and validity, which can be used to assess team cohesion of emergency nurses.
