Abstract:Objective To analyze the application patterns of acupoints in meridian massage for treating pediatric Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) using data mining, and to provide a reference for clinical meridian massage practice. Methods Literature related to meridian massage for treating pediatric MPP was retrieved from Chinese and English databases from their establishment until April 18, 2025. Association rule analysis of acupoints was conducted using SPSS Modeler18.0 software, and cluster analysis was performed using SPSS26.0 software. Results Forty-six papers were included. The three most frequently used acupoints were Feishu (BL13, 9.29%), Feijing (7.33%), and Danzhong (CV17, 6.85%). The acupoints were primarily distributed on the back, upper limbs, chest, lower limbs, and hands. The meridians to which the acupoints belonged were mainly the Taiyang Bladder Meridian of Foot (14.90%) and the Taiyin Lung Meridian of Hand (13.33%). The strongest acupoint association was between the Lung Meridian and the Spleen Meridian. Cluster analysis of the acupoints yielded four groups of acupoint clusters. Conclusion The selection of acupoints in meridian massage for the treatment of pediatric MMP follows certain patterns. Before clinical application we should consider acupoint compatibility, location, meridian application rules, and the syndrome type of the pediatric patient.
