This review focuses on the concept of pre-frailty, the assessment tools used to identify it, the adverse health outcomes that pre-frailty in stroke patients can cause, and the interventions for pre-frailty in stroke patients. It aims to provide references for the identification of pre-frailty in stroke patients and the recognition and management of adverse health outcomes after stroke, there by improving the health outcomes of stroke patients.
