Abstract:Objective To translate the Medical Artificial Intelligence Readiness Scale (MAIRS) into Chinese(Chi-MAIRS) and test its reliability and validity among undergraduate nursing students, so as to provide a measurement tool for accurately measuring the medical artificial intelligence readiness of undergraduate nursing students. Methods The Chi-MAIRS was formed through translation, back translation, cultural adaptation and pre-testing. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 834 undergraduate nursing students from four medical universities (medical colleges) to test the reliability and validity of the Chi-MAIRS. Results The Chi-MAIRS includes 20 items in four dimensions:cognition, ability, vision and ethics. The cumulative variance contribution rate of the 4 common factors was 72.429%; the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit was good; the content validity index of the scale level was 0.900, and the content validity index of the item level was 0.800~1.000; the Cronbach′s α coefficient of the total scale was 0.778, the retest reliability was 0.757, and the split-half reliability was 0.815. Conclusion The Chi-MAIRS has good reliability and validity, and can be used as an instrument to measure the readiness of undergraduate nursing students in China for medical artificial intelligence readiness.
