Shift-working nurses have become a high-risk group for impaired sleep quality. Sleep-related worry, triggered by irregular work schedules, has become increasingly prominent and are now recognized as a major factor affecting the sleep health of nurses. This review summarizes the current state of research on sleep-related worry, including commonly used measurement tools, key contributing factors-such as self-regulatory fatigue and rumination-and intervention strategies at both the individual and organizational levels. The aim is to provide a reference for future research and to support efforts to improve sleep health among nurses.
