Objective To develop an operational guide for negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) in hospitalized children. Methods An operational guide for NPWT in hospitalized children was developed based on literature review and semi-structured interviews, then 19 experts were consulted using the Delphi method. Results Three rounds of consultation were conducted. The response rate for round 1, round 2, and round 3 was 100%, 100% and 89.5%, respectively. The expert authority coefficient was 0.88. The Kendall′s coefficient of concordance was 0.209 in round 3 (P<0.05). The operational guide for NPWT in hospitalized children included 16 first-level items and 42 second-level items. Conclusion The guide for NPWT in hospitalized children has favorable acceptance of experts and feasibility, which can be used to instruct NPWT in pediatric patients.
