Abstract:Objective To establish and apply a perioperative nursing quality evaluation indicator system for day-case hip and knee replacement, and to promote standardized development of perioperative nursing in this surgical context. Methods The indicator system was developed based on two rounds of expert consultation. The evaluation indicators were applied to perioperative nursing care of 125 patients undergoing day surgery for hip and knee replacement, with nursing quality compared to that of 112 patients before the application. Results The final perioperative nursing quality evaluation indicator system for day-case hip and knee replacement included 3 primary indicators, 9 secondary indicators, and 39 tertiary indicators. After intervention, patients exhibited significantly lower pain levels and shorter time to first mobilization compared to before intervention, while joint function, follow-up rate, and satisfaction were significantly improved (all P<0.05).Conclusion The developed perioperative nursing quality evaluation indicator system for day-case hip and knee replacement is scientific and practical, facilitating the improvement of nursing quality in day surgery for hip and knee replacement.
