Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of psychodrama therapy in the rehabilitation training for long-term hospitalized patients with chronic schizophrenia, and to provide reference for the construction of rehabilitation training intervention programs for long-term hospitalized patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods Using the convenience sampling method, 80 patients with chronic schizophrenia who had been continuously hospitalized for more than 5 years were selected from March to September 2024, and then they were randomly divided into a control group and an intervention group, with 40 cases in each. The control group received routine psychiatric rehabilitation training activities, while the intervention group received psychodrama therapy on this basis. The scores of the Positive And Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and the Scale of Social Function for Psychosis Inpatients(SSPI) were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results After the intervention, the total scores and subscale scores of the PANSS in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the total scores and dimension scores of the SSPI were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion Psychodrama therapy can promote the improvement of mental symptoms in long-term hospitalized patients with chronic schizophrenia and enhance their social functioning.
