The nursing studio represents an innovative organizational model which is run by a nurse-led multidisciplinary team (nursing expert with particular expertise, clinical nurse, and members of other healthcare professions). It is designed to deliver specialized patient care services, and commit to advance the nursing discipline construction, talent cultivation, and development of nursing profession. This paper reviews the development, staff composition and roles/responsibilities, operating mode and effect evaluation of nursing studio, and provides directions for future development according to Chinese context, thus to provide reference for accelerating the construction of nursing studios.
