Objective To construct a case pool for ideological and political education in the course of Psychiatric Nursing, and to provide a reference for teachers. Methods A team was formed to compile and refine cases for ideological and political education in the course of Psychiatric Nursing, then these cases were integrated into the teaching of Psychiatric Nursing for undergraduate nursing students. Results Twenty cases were developed. Students rated an average score of (89.50±7.44) points for these cases used in the teaching of Psychiatric Nursing. Conclusion Teaching cases developed in this study for ideological and political education in Psychiatric Nursing are scientific and practical, and can serve as a reference for teaching.
