Abstract:Objective To translate the Integral Nursing Leadership Scale into simplified Chinese and to test its reliability and validity among clinical nurses. Methods Authorization of the original scale author was obtained.Following the Brislin′s translation model, translation, back-translation, and cultural adaptation were conducted to develop the Chinese version of the Integral Nursing Lea-dership Scale. Then, a convenience sampling method was used to conduct a formal survey with 1,090 clinical nurses to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the scale. Results The Chinese version of the scale contains 30 items across 4 dimensions. The total Cronbach′s α coefficient was 0.888, and the test-retest reliability was 0.692. The item-content validity index (I-CVI) ranged from 0.857 to 1.000, and the scale-level content validity index (S-CVI/Ave) was 0.986. Exploratory factor analysis identified 4 factors, explaining 72.712% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated that this four-factor model had adequate fit to the data (χ2/df=1.073, RMSEA=0.012, CFI=0.998, TLI=0.998, and IFI=0.998). Conclusion The Chinese version of the Integral Nursing Leadership Scale demonstrates good reliability and validity, making it suitable for assessing the leadership level of nursing managers.
