Objective To develop a home management guideline for patients with lower limb lymphedema after comprehensive treatment for gynecological malignancies, and to improve their self-management level and coping ability. Methods Following the guidance for developing public or patient versions of guidelines (PVG), with the involvement of multidisciplinary experts, patients, family members, and public representatives, statements were formulated by collecting concerns of patients with lower limb lymphedema, systematically searching the current literature and critically evaluating the evidence. At last, expert consultation was conducted to reach a consensus.Results The evidence-based PVG covers 12 questions and 52 items. Conclusion The guideline provides clear recommendations on common problems in home management of lower limb lymphedema after comprehensive treatment for gynecological malignancies, which is conducive to enhancing patients′ self-management in the home.
