Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of intelligent curriculum-based ideological and political education in Psychiatric Nursing course for undergraduate nursing students.Methods A total of 103 undergraduate nursing students enrolled in 2020 were treated as the control group and were given conventional teaching in Psychiatric Nursing course, while their counterparts enrolled in 2021 (n=120) were served as the experimental group and received curriculum-based ideological and political education which was deve-loped using intelligence technologies and multimodal resources.Theoretical and practical examinations were performed at completion of the course, students′ participation in the ideological and political education was assessed using videos recorded during the teaching, and students′ evaluation with the teaching was also surveyed.Results The theoretical and practical examination scores, as well as the score of evaluation with the teaching in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05).Students in the experimental group expressed more positive emotion, while students in the control group demonstrated more negative emotion during the teaching.The emotional arousal degree of students in the experimental group was significantly higher compared with the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing intelligent curriculum-based ideological and political education in Psychiatric Nursing course can arouse students′ positive emotion and enhance teaching quality.
