This paper reviews connotation, evaluation indexes, influencing factors and management strategy for low-value medical services.It is suggested that low value medical services are affected by multiple stakeholders such as the system, patient and medical institutions. Attention should be paid to formulating and updating clinical practice guidelines, formulating authoritative stan-dards and operational procedures, optimizing end-of-life treatment process, strengthening education and communication among patients′ families, and improving medical insurance and whole-process supervision mechanisms to reduce low-value medical treatment.
