Abstract:Objective To analyze the conceptual connotation of health information behavior, to enlighten the theoretical basis for the research and practice.Methods We conducted a systematic search in domestic and overseas databases from database inception to February 2024.Rodgers′ evolutionary concept analysis was used to analyze the literature.Results A total of 50 publications were included.Five attributes of the health information behavior were recognized, including health information needs, health information seeking, health information evaluation, health information use, and health information interaction.Antecedents included indivi-duals, society, and information factors.Consequences included cognitive behavioral change and improvement of health outcomes.Conclusion Through concept analysis, conceptual attributes of health information behavior are clarified, and more systematic and in-depth research can be conducted based on its connotation.
