Abstract:Objective To summarize the best evidence for the prevention and management of orthopedic device-related pressure injury, and to provide references for clinical nursing practice. Methods According to the "6S" model, a literature search was conducted on websites and databases for literature on prevention and management of orthopedic device-related pressure injury, both domestically and internationally. The search timeframe was from database inception to February 2024. After completing quality evaluation of included literature, relevant evidence was summarized one by one in combination with professional knowledge. Results A total of 11 articles were included, including 4 guidelines, 4 expert consensus reports, 2 systematic reviews, and 1 evidence summary reports. A total of 39 pieces of best evidence were summarized into six aspects:skin, surface, keep moving, incontinence, nutrition, and self-care. Conclusion The summarized evidence can be used to prevent device-related pressure injury in orthopedic patients, and medical staff need to better apply and translate the evidence based on clinical context and patient opinions.
