Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of mindfulness training combined with working memory training on cancer-related fatigue and anxiety in lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods A total of 110 lung cancer patients were randomized into two groups, with 55 in each group. The control group received conventional treatment and care, while the intervention group additionally received combined mindfulness and working memory training. The Cancer Fatigue Scale (CFS) and Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) were used to evaluated the effect after 4 weeks of intervention. Results After the intervention, the CFS score and SAS score in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group (both P<0.05).Conclusion Combined mindfulness and working memory training can alleviate anxiety and fatigue symptoms in lung cancer patients during chemotherapy.
