Abstract:Objective To summarize the best evidence of wound management in elderly diabetic foot patients, and provide reference for clinical practice. Methods According to the "6S" pyramid model system of evidence-based resources, related website and databases in domestic and overseas were searched by computer for the wound management in elderly patients with diabetic foot. The retrieval time limit was from January 2018 to August 2023.Two researchers independently evaluated the included literature and extracted the literature that met the quality standards and summarized the best evidence. Results Totally 15 articles were included at last, including 6 guidelines, 7 expert consensus, and 2 systematic reviews. The 37 pieces of best evidence were summarized from six aspects: risk factors for the occurrence and development of wound management in elderly diabetic foot patients, assessment and screening of foot ulcer wounds, monitoring and treatment of foot ulcer wounds, nursing management and prevention of wounds, establishment of multidisciplinary wound management teams, health education and lifestyle management. Conclusion The best evidence of wound management for elderly diabetic foot patients provides evidence-based practice basis for clinical and community-based medical staff, and also provides references for the formulation of personalized wound care programs, so as to better apply and transform evidence to serve patients.
