This paper introduces the concept of mutual support for the aged, expounds its development status in domestic and overseas, summarizes the influencing factors of the elderly′s willingness to participate in mutual support for the aged, including age, educational background, economic status, health status and intergenerational relationship, then puts forward suggestions for the development of mutual support model for the aged, aiming to provide feasible suggestions for improving the participation of mutual support for the aged in China and realizing active aging.
