Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of implementing comic teaching in the course of Health Assessment for undergraduate nursing students. Methods A total of 212 sophomores were selected for an RCT:class 1 and class 2 were randomly selected as the research group (n=114), and class 3 and class 4 as the control group (n=98).The control group received teaching based on the BOPPPS model, while the research group added comic teaching on the basis of the model.The teaching effect was evaluated after course completion. Results The scores of written exam in the research group was significantly better than those in the control group, with the total score and scores in various dimensions of self-directed learning ability, as well as the total score of learning input, and scores in behavioral input and cognitive input dimensions, significantly higher than those of the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion The application of comic teaching in the course of Health Assessment is helpful to improve learning input and self-directed learning ability of nursing students, thus enhancing their academic performance.
