This paper introduced the concept of advance care planning, reviewed the necessity, implementation status （the timing of discussing advance care planning, participants in the discussion, contents of the discussion, intervention strategies and effects）, and influencing factors of carrying out advance care planning in nursing facilities.The purpose is to provide theoretical and practical reference for better implementation of advance care planning in nursing facilities in China in the future.
