Abstract:Objective To translate the Interprofessional Collaborative Competency Self-Assessment Tool (IPCC-SAT) into a Chinese version and test its reliability and validity, and to provide an effective tool for evaluating interprofessional education in healthcare field in China. Methods The Chinese version of IPCC-SAT was formed through translation, back translation, and cross-cultural adaption.A questionnaire was delivered to 501 healthcare students to analyze the reliability and validity of the Chinese version scale. Results Exploratory factor analysis was performed and 4 factors were extracted, with 20 items being retained.The cumulative variance contribution rate was 68.237%.The initial model was constructed based on the result of exploratory factor analysis.In confirmatory factor analysis the factor loading of the 20 observed variables in the final model ranged from 0.587 to 0.814 (all P<0.05).The fitting indexes of the final model were good.The Cronbach′s α coefficient of Chinese version of IPCC-SAT was 0.941, and Guttman split-half coefficient was 0.870. Conclusion With good reliability and validity, the Chinese version of IPCC-SAT is suitable for evaluating interprofessional collaborative competencies of healthcare students in China.
