Objective To explore the effect of Zhuang-medicine medicated-thread moxibustion therapy on promoting the recovery of patients undergoing laparoscopic radical surgery for colorectal cancer. Methods Seventy-eight patients with colorectal cancer were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 39 cases in each group. Both groups were given perioperative treatment and care, while the observation group additionally received Zhuang-medicine medicated-thread moxibustion at the Zhitu, Guxian and Qihuan after surgery for 3 consecutive days.The effect was evaluated after 3 days of intervention. Results The time to flatus and the time-to-first bowel movement were significantly shortened, the incidence of abdominal distention, pain intensity and fatigue were significantly lower in the observation group than those in the control group （P＜0.05,P＜0.01）. Conclusion Zhuang-medicine medicated-thread moxibustion therapy can boost recovery of patients undergoing laparoscopic radical surgery for colorectal cancer.
