Abstract:Objective To explore nurses′ experience on nurse-led TCM clinic, and to provide references for management mode of nurse-led TCM clinic. Methods Semi-structured interviews were conducted on 15 nurses attending the nurse-led TCM clinic.Content analysis was used to analyze the verbatim transcripts of the interview data. Results The nurses′ experience on nurse-led TCM clinic was classified into 3 themes: the establishment of nurse-led clinic of Chinese Medicine had positive significance (enhancing positive career identity, promoting career development, creating social and economic benefits); nurse-led TCM clinic presented challenges for nurses and managers (strengthening professional practice and occupational ability, improving management and integrating resources); nurse-led TCM clinic generated some risks in practice (occupational health and safety hazards, medical risks). Conclusion Nurse-led TCM clinic could enhance positive career identity and provide new opportunities for the career development of nurses.At the same time, it also means higher requirements for nurses.In the development of nurse-led TCM clinic, it is necessary to integrate existing resources, gravitate to talents cultivation, and protect occupational safety of nurses.
