This article summarizes the assessment tools of cancer recurrence fear, the forms and effect of peer support on cancer patients′ fear of recurrence, and points out the challenges and limitations of peer support model in cancer patients, including insufficient knowledge level of supporters, lack of unified management, and risk of attrition.It suggests that researchers should streng-then the training and maintenance of peer supporters, and develop good peer support programs, in a bid to provide references for the localization of peer support models for cancer patients in China.
