Abstract:Objective To understand the real experience of patients with enterostomy receiving Internet Plus home nursing service, so as to provide reference for further improvement of home care service system for enterostomy. Methods A semi-structured one-to-one in-depth interview was conducted among 11 patients with enterostomy. Colaizzi 7-step method was used to analyze the data and extract the theme. Results Four themes emerged:the reasons for choosing "Internet Plus home care service" (complications, advanced age, reducing caregiver burden, and the transition from hospital to home); the impact of "Internet Plus home care for ostomy" (improving stoma self-care ability, helping patients return to normal life and work, and emotional therapy); the difference between "Internet Plus home care service for ostomy" and traditional medical attendance (time-saving and enjoying personalized services); and suggestions (improving the insurance system, strengthening popularization and publicity). Conclusion Patients with enterostomy have a positive experience of receiving "Internet Plus home nursing care". This mode of nursing service is conducive to improving patients′ self-care ability and achieving smooth transition from hospital to home.
