Abstract:Objective To investigate the current status of knowledge,attitude and practice regarding skin moisturizing care in patients with psoriasis vulgaris,and analyze the influencing factors, so as to provide a basis for implementing skin care health education for patients. Methods A total of 283 psoriasis vulgaris patients were investigated using a self-designed questionnaire regarding knowledge, attitude, practice on skin moisturizing care in patients with psoriasis. Results The score of knowledge of psoriasis vulgaris patients was (10.20±3.22), accounting for 72.86% of the total score.The score of attitude was (24.14±4.14), accounting for 80.47% of the total score.The score of practice was (17.63±5.36), accounting for 70.52% of the total score. There were statistically significant differences in the scores of knowledge, attitude and practice of patients with different ages, education backgrounds and courses of disease (all P<0.05). Conclusion The level of knowledge,attitude and practice on skin moisturizing care in patients with psoriasis vulgaris was at a medium to high level, and their knowledge and practice levels need to be improved. Medical staff should give patients individualized guidance on the knowledge of skin moisturizing nursing based on patients′ age, education background and disease course to help them develop proper skin moisturizing practices and alleviate psoriasis symptoms.
