Abstract:Objective To understand the nutritional information acquisition behavior in colorectal cancer patients after surgery, to help them exert their own driving force, increase the store of nutritional information, and promote the formation of healthy behavior. Methods Using descriptive qualitative study methods, 21 colorectal cancer patients were interviewed about nutrition information acquisition behavior, and the content analysis method was used to analyze the interview data. Results Four themes were extracted:nutrition information needs (diversified content), the approaches to acquire nutrition information(health education, internet, peer support), the modes of acquiring nutrition information (problem solving, chance seeking, long-term attention, authoritative guidance), and the influences of acquiring nutrition information (positive influence, negative influence). Conclusion Colorectal cancer patients after surgery need diversified nutritional information, and they acquire information from different approaches, while their acquiring modes are different, and the influences of information acquisition have two sides. It is suggested to build a professional platform, smooth access to nutrition information, formulate targeted health education strategies to increase nutrition information store, and play the positive guiding role of information.
