Objective To clarify the concept of nursing professional values based on Rodgers′ evolutionary concept analysis method. Methods The databases of CNKI，Wanfang，CBM，PubMed，CINAHL，Web of Sciences，Sage and Wiley were systematically searched, the search time interval was from January 2012 to June 2022. A thematic analysis was used to code, classify, summarise and synthesise the material. Results In the 50 articles finally included, the evolution of nursing professional values was divided into three stages:initial exploration-practical meaning, in-depth-connotation identification and development-structural exploration. The antecedent consisted of personal background, professional perception, professional education, practice environment and ethical awareness; the attributes included humanity (dignity, care, altruism), morality (responsibility, equality, justice, honesty) and rationality (autonomy, agency); the consequences included feelings, beliefs and behaviors. Conclusion Identifying the conceptual framework of nursing professional values provides a core conceptual basis for the development of nursing ethics, and it can be used as a theoretical foundation for the development of appropriate measurement tools and educational frameworks.
