Abstract:Objective To analyze the concept and structural elements of undergraduate nursing teachers′ curriculum humanistic competence. Methods Based on the Onion Model, the concept and structural elements of undergraduate nursing teachers′ curriculum humanistic competence were preliminarily developed through content analysis and theoretical research. Afterwards, two rounds of expert consultation among 18 experts were conducted, and eventually the theory and structural model of undergraduate nursing teachers′ curriculum humanistic competence were established. Results For the two rounds of consultation, the positive coefficients were 90% and 100%.The authoritative coefficients were 0.916 and 0.919, and the importance values of the elements ranged from 4.56 to 5.00, coefficients of variation ranged from 0 to 0.13. Finally, the concept and structural elements of undergraduate nursing teachers′ curriculum humanistic competence were established, including 5 primary structural elements (knowledge base, skills level, professional attitudes, personality traits and intrinsic motivations), 11 secondary structural elements and 37 tertiary structural elements. Conclusion The concept and structural elements identified in this study can provide a basis for evaluating the humanistic competence of undergraduate nursing teachers′ curriculum humanistic competence, and improve the admission, assessment, and evaluation system for undergraduate nursing teachers.
