Family integrated care (FICare) model as a new but mature NICU care model, has become a focus of attention in the field of preterm infant health. This paper expounds the origin of FICare, implementation methods, intervention objectives and effects in the care of preterm infants in NICU. Based on the shortcomings and difficulties of FICare applied in Chinese NICU, the environmental infrastructures, implementation strategies, research methods and future directions are discussed in order to provide reference for domestic scholars to carry out FICare in NICU.
