Abstract:Objective To standardize the management of specialized nurses, to improve the management efficiency and promote the development of specialized nursing. Methods Based on Benner′s Novice to Expert Model, a computerized information system for grading evaluation of specialized nurses was developed, including four modules:personal profile management, selection and training of specialized nurses, continuing education, and assessment and promotion management. Then the system was applied in specialized nurses and specialized nursing groups to achieve whole-process information management. Results Information registration, training, evaluation and promotion management of 82 specialized nurses and 14 specialized nursing groups were completed by using the system. Time spent on audit per person was significantly shortened (P<0.05), and the scores of system usability were between (4.18±0.49) and (4.39±0.52). Conclusion Application of the grading management system standardizes management of specialized nurses, improves management efficiency, and obtains positive feedbacks of users.
