Abstract:Objective To investigate and analyze the discharge care needs of patients undergoing chemotherapy for cervical cancer, so as to provide reference for further development of Kano-model-based health guidance measures for these patients. Methods A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate 216 patients undergoing chemotherapy for cervical cancer in a tertiary hospital in Shanxi Province. Results According to the demand analysis of Kano model, the discharge care needs of patients undergoing chemotherapy for cervical cancer included 9 charm attributes, 7 expectation attributes, 2 no difference attributes, in the absence of necessary attributes and reverse attributes. Conclusion Discharge care needs analysis based on Kano model for patients undergoing chemotherapy for cervical cancer can further provide evidence for health guidelines for medical personnel, help medical staff to better guide patients and their caregivers regarding how to meet patients′ needed care, in order to enhance patients′ social support, reduce the incidence of disease-related complications and improve patients′ quality of life.
