Objective To analyze the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats of community-embedded elderly care services, so as to provide reference for the sustainable and healthy development of community-embedded elderly care services. Methods The purposive sampling method and snowball sampling method were used to conduct semi-structured in-depth interviews with six community-embedded elderly care service managers and six elderly people receiving services in Tianjin, and the data were analyzed by content analysis method, and the community-embedded elderly care service was analyzed and evaluated from four dimensions based on SWOT model:advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats. Results The advantages of community embedded elderly care include providing diversified services, satisfying emotional needs, coordinating and integrating high-quality resources, and opening the elderly care; the disadvantages are limited site resources and difficulty in making profits; opportunities include large demand for services, strong government support, and the increasingly mature development of information technology; threats include ambiguity in functional orientation, shortage of caregivers, and a lack of self-consumption among the elderly. Conclusion With the background of actively promoting the "Internet plus community pension", Tianjin community-embedded pension received a good social response due to its diverse services, flexible forms, and geographical advantages.In the future, it is necessary to further strengthen the government′s guidance and supervision in the operation, refine the functional positioning, and stabilize the team of nursing staff, so as to effectively meet the diversified elderly care service needs of the elderly in the community.
