Abstract:Objective To explore the professional socialization experience of nurses with master degree in nursing specialist (MNS), so as to provide a basis for formulating training strategies. Methods Descriptive qualitative study design was used in this study.A total of 14 nurses with MNS were selected by purposive sampling method for semi-structured in-depth interviews, and the interview data were analyzed by thematic analysis method. Results Six themes were extracted, namely, the difference between theory and practice, educational experience, professional beliefs and behaviors, cooperation with other medical teams, internal motivation, and role modeling. Conclusion Nursing managers and educators should carefully analyze the influencing factors of professional socialization of nurses with MNS, formulate and implement appropriate training strategies, so as to improve the professional socialization of nurses with MNS and make them gradually competent for their professional roles.
