Abstract:Objective To construct a list of safety guidelines for caregivers to participate in the medication safety of hospitalized children, so as to improve the safety of medication for inpatient children. Methods According to the period of hospitalization, the caregivers of hospitalized children in March to April 2022 were taken as the control group (30 cases), and the caregivers of hospitalized children in May to June 2022 were taken as the intervention group (30 cases). The control group followed the routine medication safety management plan, and the intervention group adopted a self-constructed guidance list for caregivers to participate in the hospitalized children medication safety for medication management on the basis of the routine medication nursing plan. Before discharge, the participation and satisfaction of caregivers in medication management were investigated, and adverse medication events were counted. Results The participation and satisfaction scores of caregivers in medication management in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05), and no adverse events occurred in the children in either group. Conclusion The content of guidance list for caregivers′ participation in medication safety is comprehensive and practical, which can promote nurse-patient cooperation, effectively guide caregivers to participate in medication management practice, and improve their participation experience.
