Abstract:Objective To develop an evaluation index system of new media literacy for the elderly, so as to provide references for targeted literacy education and effective intelligent care for the aged. Methods The global media and information literacy assessment framework was taken as theoretical framework, and literature review and semi-structured interview were used to form an expert consultation queationnaire on new media literacy evaluation indicators for the elderly, then a 2-round Delphi study was conducted among 19 experts. Results Experts′ response rates were 100% in the 2 rounds, and the Kendall coefficients of concordance were 0.134 and 0.199(P<0.05 for both). The final indicators were composed of 3 first-level indicators, 9 second-level indicators and 36 third-level indicators. Conclusion The developed new media literacy evaluation indicators for the elderly is scientific, reliable and practical, which could provide a tool measuring new media literacy for the elderly in China.
