Abstract:Objective To investigate the status of knowledge, belief and practice (KBP) of cardiac rehabilitation among clinical nurses in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and analyze the influencing factors, so as to provide reference for training cardiac rehabilitation nurse specialists. Methods Totally, 269 nurses in the department of cardiology and cardiac surgery were selected from 10 hospitals in 5 cities of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region by convenience sampling and were invited to fill out a self-designed questionnaire in terms of cardiac rehabilitation KBP. Results The total KBP score was (156.99±18.13) points, with the scoring rate of 73.36%.The scoring rate of K, B, and P was 65.33%、85.40%, and 71.83% respectively. Univariate analysis demonstrated that previous training experience on rehabilitation and whether or not their working department provided cardiac rehabilitation affected K, B, and P scores; age, educational level, professional title, nurse′s grade, working department, hospital grade and type affected K score; age, whether or not a specialty nurse, and hospital grade affected B score (P<0.05,P<0.01). Conclusion Clinical nurses in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region have a positive attitude towards cardiac rehabilitation, but their knowledge and practice need to be further improved and standardized.Targeted intervention measures should be taken to improve the overall quality of cardiac rehabilitation nursing in Ningxia.
