Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy of ′drawing a human body diagram′ as a teaching tool for the curriculum of Nursing of Internal Medicine. Methods Higher vocational nursing students in two comparable classes were randomized by flipping a coin to a control group or an experimental group, with 56 in each group. The control group was given traditional teaching method, while the experimental group received the strategy of ′drawing a human body diagram′ as a teaching tool. Results The scores of three theoretical tests in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05,P<0.01). Greater than ninety-five percent (96.43%) students of the experimental group were satisfied with the teaching method. Conclusion The application of the strategy of ′drawing a human body diagram′ as a teaching tool for the curriculum of Nursing of Internal Medicine improves academic performance and comprehensive ability of nursing students, so it is highly recognized by the students.
