Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Magnet hospital like management practice in secondary private hospitals operated under the trusteeship model. Methods Magnet hospital like management was applied in secondary private hospitals operated under the trusteeship model, with measures including the following areas:providing leadership training to nursing administrators, establishing an effective incentive mechanism, building supportive work environment, creating a caring culture, building more cohesive nursing teams, et al. Results After the implementation of Magnet hospital like management practice, the average score of professional values of clinical nurses was significantly higher than before, the score of turnover intention was significantly lower than that before (P<0.05 for all). The turnover rate of nurses decreased year by year, from 33.05% in 2017 to 6.19% in 2020 (P<0.01). Conclusion The practice of Magnet hospital like management can help clinical nurses to establish correct professional values and reduce the turnover intention and turnover rate of nurses.
