Abstract:Objective To explore the methods and effects of pharmacotherapy liaison nurse service implemented in general hospital. Methods Departments of nursing, medicine, and pharmacy collaborated to form a pharmacotherapy liaison nursing team, standa-rdized training contents and methods, instructed the liaison nurses to carry out drug management, administration, adverse drugreactions (ADRs) monitoring, and management of drug-related nursing adverse events, etc. Results The score of pharmacotherapy quality was increased from 97.73±1.95 in 2017 to 98.47±1.37 in 2020, the number of the ADRs reported by nurses was increased from 41 in 2016 to 298 in 2019, but the incidence of serious drug-related adverse events was significantly decreased (P<0.01). Conclusion The construction and implementation of pharmacotherapy liaison nurse are conducive to standardizing drug ma-nagement in general hospital, enhancing pharmacotherapy quality, strengthening the awareness of reporting ADRs, and ultimately promoting patient safety.
