Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of pre-hospitalization management based on information platform for breast cancer patients on day chemotherapy schedule. Methods Totally, 454 breast cancer patients admitted from April to June 2019 were used seen as the control group, who were subjected to conventional hospitalization model; another 328 patients admitted from July to September 2019 were assigned into the intervention group, who were subjected to pre-hospital management mode:a pre-hospital management team was built to arrange hospitalization and follow-up of the patients. Results The waiting time for hospitalization, length of hospital stay, and cost of nursing care in the intervention group were significantly shorter and less than those in the control group (P<0.01 for all). The satisfaction rate in the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Pre-hospitalization management based on information platform can effectively shorten the waiting time for hospitalization and length of hospital stay, reduce the cost of nursing care, and improve the satisfaction of breast cancer patients on day chemotherapy schedule.
