Abstract:This article stated the three decision-making points of Iowa model of evidence-based practice, which included priority of topic, sufficiency of evidence and appropriateness of evidence. And this article also introduced the whole process of change from triggers identified, screening of evidence, implementation of evidence and outcome evaluation. Then this article analyzed the current status of its application in nursing practice based on systematic literature searching. This model mainly used in three area of symptom management, training program and nursing management. The finding indicated that this model provided practitioners a framework and triggers of promoting research into practice, and decision-making direction of evidence use and production.
