Objective To establish a systematic psychological care model for hospitalized patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and to standardize psychological care for them. Methods The domestic and international COVID-19 related literature was comprehensively reviewed, and based on the COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment regimen and related policies, combined with the psychological care experience, the consensus was preliminarily formed. With the participation of experts from various medical institutions and colleges in related fields in China, the consensus was eventually confirmed by 5 rounds of online and offline conference discussions and expert consultations. Results The consensus included related definition of psychological care, common psychological reactions, psychological care process, and psychological care for special hospitalized patients with COVID-19. Conclusion The consensus is scientific and practical, it provides guidance on the standardized psychological care for hospitalized patients with COVID-19.
