Abstract:Objective To form expert consensus on nursing standards for hospital-based outpatient fever clinic amid COVID-19 pandemic, and to standardize nursing care service in fever clinic. Methods After consulting domestic and international literature and relevant policies and seeking advice from front-line nursing experts managing the fever clinics, and experts in other fields, the first draft of Expert Consensus on Nursing Standards in Fever Clinic during COVID-19 Pandemic was formed. Through panel discussion and expert consultations, the first draft was collated and revised to form the final version of the consensus. Results The experts reached a consensus on the following six parts:the zoning and passage setting in fever clinic, the configuration and management of equipment in fever clinic, the setting and responsibility of nursing posts in fever clinic, the protection and health management of nursing staff, nursing care of patients in each area, disinfection and waste management. Conclusion The consensus is practical and scientific, which can provide guidelines for patient quality care and for prevention of nosocomial infection.
