Abstract:Objective To investigate the level of and factors influencing presenteeism among pediatric nurses. Methods A total of 1 503 pediatric nurses selected from 8 hospitals in Henan province were surveyed by using the Stanford Presenteeism Scale (SPS-6) and Perceived Social Support Scale. Results The total score of presenteeism in pediatric nurses was 18.24±4.11, and 876 nurses (58.3%) had high presenteeism level(≥18 points).The main influencing factors were marital status, hospital level, encountering workplace violence in the past year, and external support (P<0.05,P<0.01). Conclusion Pediatric nurses had a high level of presenteeism. Effective interventions targeting the influencing factors should be conducted to improve practice environment and reduce the incidence and severity of presenteeism among pediatric nurses.
