Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of psychiatric consultationliaison nursing for inpatients in general hospital. Methods Totally 65 inpatients with a score of SAS≥50 or SDS≥53 when admitting in a general hospital were divided into an observation group (n=33) and a control group (n=32) chronologically. The control group was given routine mental health nursing by primary nurses,while the observation group received psychiatric consultationliaison nursing by the psychiatric consultationliaison nurses, which included catharsis therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation therapy and masculine reinforcement therapy. Results After the intervention, the score of anxiety, depression and negative coping style in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, while the score of positive coping style was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05,P<0.01). Conclusion The psychiatric consultationliaison nursing for inpatients in general hospital is conducive to relieving patients′ anxiety and depression, increasing positive coping styles, and reducing negative coping styles.
